What will you be responsible for?

This position plays a vital role in ensuring that the day-to-day transactions of the business are processed accurately and efficiently.The role will be responsible for:

  • Daily banking reconciled to departmental end-of-day returns.
  • Purchase Ledger invoice processing.
  • Reconciliation of suppliers’ statements to purchase ledger accounts.
  • Send out customer account applications as required and follow up references.
  • Send out monthly debtor account statements.
  • Credit control.
  • Document filing.
  • Answering incoming telephone calls.
  • Processing payment requests and making payments

We see this as an opportunity for an individual who has an interest in starting their accountancy career and who may have started an appropriate course of study such as AAT.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualities:

  • an effective communicator with a variety of audiences including customers, colleagues and business partners;
  • an ability to work to a high standard, particularly a high attention to detail to ensure all processing is accurate and processed on a timely basis;
  • able to work independently and as a member of a team;
  • able to work to tight deadlines and thrive in a challenging and fast-paced and high energy environment.
